Australia’s mandatory climate reporting is being phased in.

The new sustainability reporting regime applies to entities that already prepare an annual financial report under Chapter 2M of the Corporations Act and meet specified size, emissions or asset thresholds. It does not apply to every company or charity.

Reports include climate-related governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets under AASB S2. We turn approved content into a clear, accessible report in Sydney, ready for review, assurance and publication.

  1. Group 11 January 2025Financial years beginning on or after this date
  2. Group 21 July 2026Financial years beginning on or after this date
  3. Group 31 July 2027Financial years beginning on or after this date

Small proprietary companies without Chapter 2M reporting obligations and registered charities not required to prepare a Chapter 2M annual financial report are outside this regime. Australia has about 65,000 registered charities, but that is sector context, not the number covered by mandatory climate disclosure.

Hi, I'm Jen Clark. I design annual reports.

I lead every annual report project from brief to lodgement, including the data visualisation, accessible PDF, print production and ESG disclosure sections. Shaped, reviewed and signed off by me. A trusted extended team of writers, illustrators, data-viz specialists, accessible-PDF taggers and print producers joins for production under my direction. So you get specialist depth with a single point of contact.

I have 25 years experience as a graphic designer and creative director, establishing Jen Clark Design in 2011 after years across independent and in-house design teams. Today Annual Report Designers is trusted by Australian boards, NFPs and listed companies for annual, sustainability and impact reports.

Reporting in Sydney

Sydney is Australia's financial capital. The ASX, the big four banks, the major insurers and the bulk of national investor relations teams sit between Bridge Street, Barangaroo and North Sydney. We design print, interactive PDF and microsite annual reports against the ASX 4.5A lodgement calendar and the NSW state tabling calendar in parallel.

NSW reporting calendar

The reporting calendar in NSW mirrors the national one. June 30 close, AGM season through October and November, federal climate disclosure for Group 2 entities from July 2026. We work backwards from your lodgement date.

All questions
How do you work with Sydney clients?
Annual Report Designers delivers for Sydney and every capital and region across Australia. Workflow runs over video and shared review tools on NSW business hours.
What is the typical timeline for a Sydney annual report?
Six to ten weeks for a standard report. Ten to fourteen weeks if a sustainability or microsite component sits alongside it.
How much does annual report design in Sydney cost?
Most Sydney annual reports land between AUD $9,000 and $45,000 depending on page count, format mix (print, interactive PDF, accessible WCAG, microsite) and data visualisation volume. Fixed fee confirmed in writing after a 20-minute scoping call.
Who is Annual Report Designers (ARD)?
ARD is a dedicated annual report design practice. One senior team takes Sydney reporting teams from brief to lodgement, with a fixed fee in writing and deadlines met.
Do you offer ESG and sustainability report design in Sydney?
Yes. We design AASB S2, GRI, TCFD and TNFD aligned ESG and sustainability reports for Sydney teams alongside the annual report or as a standalone. See the Sydney ESG report design page for detail.
How long does an annual report take to design?
A standard annual report runs 6 to 10 weeks from kick off to final artwork. Reports with sustainability sections or microsite components run 10 to 14 weeks. Tell us your board approval and lodgement dates and we will work backwards from there.
How much does an annual report cost in Australia?
Most projects sit between AUD $12,000 and $45,000. The driver is page count, format, and how much original data visualisation you need. ASX listed reports usually run $18,000 to $35,000. See the full pricing bands.
Do you work with companies outside Melbourne?
Yes. We are based in Victoria and deliver reports to clients in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra. Most of the project runs over video, file sharing and shared review tools.
Can you make our report WCAG accessible?
Yes. We deliver tagged accessible PDFs and HTML reports that meet WCAG 2.1 AA. This is a hard requirement for federal and state government reports under the PGPA Act and Department of Finance guidance, and increasingly expected by listed companies.
