What education reporting teams expect from a designer.

  • Will the report meet our council, senate or board tabling deadline?
  • Can you present research output, HDR and impact data clearly?
  • Do you understand TEQSA, ASQA, HESA and VRQA reporting expectations?
  • Can you align the report with the AQF and our institutional brand?
  • How do you handle international student and CRICOS disclosure?
  • Have you delivered for universities, TAFEs or schools before?
Why education teams pick us

Three things we bring to a education brief.

Education and Universities reporting
Education reporting

    Education sector experience

We have delivered for education clients across Australia. We know the audience, the regulators and the language.

  2. 02

  3. 03

    Accessibility built in

WCAG 2.1 AA tagged PDFs and screen reader testing are standard scope.

Frameworks and regulators

The standards a education report works against.

We design every report to clear, named standards so your audit, assurance and accessibility leads have nothing to chase.

  • Regulator

    TEQSA

Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency.

  • Regulator

    ASQA

Australian Skills Quality Authority for VET providers.

  • Regulation

    HESA

Higher Education Support Act compliance reporting.

  • Framework

    AQF

    Australian Qualifications Framework.

  • Regulator

    VRQA

    Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority.

  • Regulation

    ESOS Act

Education Services for Overseas Students Act and CRICOS obligations.

  • Standard

    WCAG 2.1 AA

Accessibility baseline for university and government publications.

Reporting in education and universities

Universities, TAFEs, independent schools and training providers carry a heavy reporting load. Council and senate annual reports, research and impact reports, quality and compliance returns to TEQSA, ASQA, HESA and VRQA all sit on top of the academic year. We design them so students, staff, alumni, donors and government can actually read them.

Standards we work against

Reports are built against the Australian Qualifications Framework, TEQSA Higher Education Standards, the Higher Education Support Act, ESOS Act and CRICOS obligations, and ASQA standards for VET providers. WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility is in scope by default.

What we deliver

Annual report, research and impact report, council and board reports, donor and alumni summary. Print, accessible PDF and microsite outputs handled in one project.

Hi, I'm Jen Clark. I design annual reports.

I lead every annual report project from brief to lodgement, including the data visualisation, accessible PDF, print production and ESG disclosure sections. Shaped, reviewed and signed off by me. A trusted extended team of writers, illustrators, data-viz specialists, accessible-PDF taggers and print producers joins for production under my direction. So you get studio depth with a single point of contact.

I have 25 years experience as a graphic designer and creative director, founding the studio formally in 2011 after years across agency and in-house design teams. Today Annual Report Designers is trusted by Australian boards, NFPs and listed companies for annual, sustainability and impact reports.

"I have never missed a lodgement deadline. That is not luck. It is the production system we have built over 120+ reports since 2011. The brief starts with your date, and everything works backwards from there."by Jen Clark, Founder & Creative Director

FAQ

Education questions.

Cost, timeline, accessibility, NDAs.

All questions
Can you align the report with TEQSA Higher Education Standards?
Yes. We map content against the TEQSA Higher Education Standards Framework so council and senate reporting and provider re-registration evidence both pull from the same source.
Do you handle research and impact reporting?
Yes. We design HDR completion data, ERA outcomes, research grants, citations and impact case studies as part of the annual report or as a standalone research and impact report.
Will the report meet WCAG 2.1 AA for university publication?
Yes. We deliver tagged, screen-reader-tested PDFs that meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Universities and TAFEs publish to that baseline as a hard requirement.
Can you align with the AQF and CRICOS disclosures?
Yes. AQF qualification structures, CRICOS course data and ESOS Act obligations are designed alongside the rest of the report.
Do you produce alumni and donor versions of the report?
Yes. We design alumni and donor summaries that sit alongside the full council report for advancement, philanthropy and community audiences.
What does a education report typically cost?
Most education reports land in the $14,000–$30,000 band depending on page count, format and the volume of original data visualisation. We confirm a fixed fee in writing after a 20-minute scoping call. See full pricing.
